FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Cruizin' Country Music Museum Wraps Up the Miles for Froggy 92.9, Hansel RV & St. Jude's
SANTA ROSA, CA June 22, 2001 This spring, Country radio station KFGY of Santa Rosa and Hansel RV of Petaluma teamed up to give Sonoma County an exciting look inside the world of Country music.
Hansel RV donated a 24-foot-long RV as a mobile Country museum and Froggy 92.9 had the cruiser wrapped by SuperGraphics of Sunnyvale, CA, with the window portions printed on see-through film by CLEAR FOCUS Imaging, also of Santa Rosa. The handsome vehicle features George Strait, the Dixie Chicks, Tim McGraw and Faith Hill. The Froggy logo and St. Jude Children's Research Hospital are also featured in the dramatic, colorful wrap.
Inside the Hansel RV Fleetwood Jamboree, visitors could see all kinds of Country music memorabilia. Natalie Maines of the Dixie Chicks donated a maternity dress, which she signed. Martina McBride sent a harmonica she played, and Tracy Byrd donated a shirt. Brooks & Dunn, Alan Jackson, Toby Keith and many other Country stars are also represented in the Cruizin' Country Music Museum.
Froggy 92.9 will auction off the memorabilia from the museum during the St. Jude's Country Cares for Kids Radiothon on August 23-24; proceeds will be donated to the research hospital in Memphis. "The Froggy 92.9 staff is proud to join the rest of the Country music industry in helping St. Jude's," says Monika Griffin, KFGY promotions director. "We're so grateful to the artists and their labels who participated in Froggy's Cruizin' Country Museum."
The Froggy 92.9-Hansel RV museum has driven all over Sonoma County during April, May and June, appearing at baseball games, blood drives, schools, the Sonoma-Marin Fair and other events.
On June 30, at Hansel RV's Petaluma location, the Cruizin' Country Music Museum will be unwrapped and become the Grand Prize for one lucky winner. KFGY general manager Lisa Amador and Tim Jasper, general manager of Hansel RV, will be proud to award the vehicle that has brought so many music fans a glimpse behind the scenes in Nashville. Lisa Amador says, "It's been so exciting to use this beautiful vehicle to showcase Froggy's stars we feel Hansel RV has helped us touch so many people with the Cruizin' Country Music Museum. Not only have we made lots of people in Sonoma County happy, we've also set the stage to raise even more money for St. Jude's this year. Thanks to everybody!"
