FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Wrap & Roll: Nissan Launches New Models with a Series of Hollywood Building Wraps
Hollywood, Calif. July 2, 2003 For the past several years, Nissan Motor Company of North America has been engaged in a major brand revitalization program using savvy marketing to boost its performance and drive up sales. As part of this plan, Nissan continues to expand its product line with the rollout of several sporty models. The company is taking its brand message to the streets with a series of high-profile building wraps that are as compelling as the vehicles featured in the ads.
SkyTag, a Beverly Hills, Calif.-based outdoor media company specializing in building "spectaculars," is helping Nissan deliver a clear brand message using stunning mega-graphics. The site of these ads is the 7080 Hollywood Boulevard Building at the corner of Hollywood and La Brea. The first wrap, which debuted in October 2002, featured the new Nissan Z and covered two sides of the building one side measuring 77 feet high by 153 feet wide and the other 77 feet high by 60 feet wide. Installed in January 2003, the second graphic heralded the launch of the Murano sport-utility vehicle. The most recent ad, which was installed in June, spotlights the new Maxima and, like all of the ads, reinforces in a big way Nissan's image as an innovative auto manufacturer.
The printing of the Nissan digital graphics is outsourced to Las Vegas-based Adera Corporation, who output them on their VUTEk UltraVu 3360EC superwide-format inkjet machine on CLEAR FOCUS SuperVue® perforated, pressure-sensitive vinyl film. Adera specializes in grand-format digital imaging and is an expert on the printing of building wraps using a variety of substrates, including perforated window-graphics vinyl.
Headquartered in Santa Rosa, Calif., CLEAR FOCUS Imaging specializes in the manufacture of One Way Vision™ window-graphics films used for printing building wraps, fleet graphics, bus shelters, point-of-purchase and retail signage, trade show graphics and much more. CLEAR FOCUS see-through films open up new media space and allow high-impact advertising without obstructing the view from inside the building or vehicle. CLEAR FOCUS vinyl film products are distributed around the world.
